Cathy was born into the military, in a Quonset hut, on a small Air Force Base. She lived the nomadic lifestyle until her thirteenth year, when her father retired and returned the family to Maine. After graduating high school, Cathy tried working locally and then away; finally finding her place as a civilian with the National Guard, back in Maine. She spent 31 years with the Guard, retiring in 2016 to answer another call.
Cathy was introduced to energy therapy in 2007, when someone spoke of Reiki. She had to know what it was and when she found out, she knew it had been calling her for her whole life. Finding the right method and the right teacher, Cathy decided to study and practice Gendai Reiki-ho, an Eastern style of this wonderful modality. She advanced to the Gokuikaiden Level (instructor level), which allowed her to teach and share this wonderful practice of Reiki Shihan.
Reiki enriched Cathy’s life in ways that are difficult to put into words, but with a thirst for knowledge and an inner voice calling, she was drawn to learn more. A friend introduced her to Integrated Energy Therapy and before she knew it, soon completed the Master-Instructor Level, allowing her to teach and share this modality as well.
