MASSAGE School Services

Why You should choose Zardus Holistic Wellness Center Massage Program! Not only is our massage curriculum approved by the State of Maine Department of Education, we are also assigned by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork and American Massage Therapy Association.

How does that benefit you as a student? As an assigned program, we are held to high standards of curriculum, curriculum hours, education standards and code of ethics and principles. Moreover, in order for students to take the National Certification Test from NCBTMB, graduation from a NCBTMB assigned program is listed as a requirement. Additionally, as an AMTA assigned program, our students receive free student membership with AMTA, providing student benefits including student business liability insurance coverage - this protects you and the people you work on while active in our program.

It keeps getting better! With Zardus Holistic Wellness Center approved massage program, you not only receive your Massage Therapy License Program diploma, but also Certification of Reflexology - we are the only school in Maine that offers this dual certification in one program. (If you are interested in only Reflexology Certification, customized education training outside of our Massage Therapy Program may be an option - email the school to inquire about how to enroll for Reflexology Classes Only)

Flexible Schedules! Our rolling enrollment means flexible start dates for our massage program - we offer this to promote a balance in your life with scheduling and coordinating everything you are already involved with.  This also helps you get started on your new massage journey, without waiting for a “new term” to start - we can get you started next month or wait until a better date as we coordinate the course dates to accommodate your busy schedule. We typically schedule all of our classes on Monday & Tuesday evenings 5-9pm with periodic Friday evenings 5-9pm & periodic Saturday & Sunday classes 9-4pm. Depending on the Term Month, we may have our day classes as an option for Mondays & Tuesdays 9-3pm & periodic Saturday & Sunday classes 9-4pm. Get enrolled today to reserve your space as class size is limited.

We want You to Succeed! Our classes are smaller (average of 6-8 new massage students per class) so we can work directly with you along this journey. We provide a comfortable and professional environment for each student to receive guided attention in their development. We are passionate about your success while here and after program completion, so we help you create your career vision!  Our focus remains on the mastery of your skills, professional approach and knowledge, so you can be a confident professional in your field. With an emphasis on proficiency in therapeutic massage, ethics and client relationship development in business – we provide a comprehensive career-focused program.

Experienced Instructors! With over 50 years of combined training and experience, our instructors not only share their field experience in eastern & western holistic approaches, but also bring an experiential and application approach to your learning. Our instructors will assist in the expansion of your vision and prepare you for your new endeavor as a licensed massage therapist. Whether you are interested in massage therapy part-time, full-time, as an employee or business owner, our instructors will provide applicable business methods and techniques for getting started and sustaining a successful practice.

Classes a la Carte Individuals who currently hold an active massage license may enroll for specific courses without becoming a full-time student. Individuals must complete the application process, including application fee, enrollment & financial contract and arrange payment for individual courses with the Director of Administrations. Pricing on individual courses will be determined based on a $50 per class hour basis. Purchases of course textbooks will be the responsibility of the individual enrolled.

Student Massage Clinics Massage clinics may be open to the general public for active massage students to practice their skills and techniques. Since this is a student learning environment, the massages will be conducted in a large supervised classroom with privacy curtains between massage tables. Clients are requested to arrive early to fill out a client history form and brief consult with their assigned student (If an extreme medical condition is present, the client must bring a Doctor’s clearance for massage and disclose this information prior to clinic date). Following each massage, students will provide a massage recap and clients will be requested to complete a feedback form for student learning opportunities.

Internships Graduated students may choose to submit a written letter of request to participate in an internship at Zardus Holistic Wellness Center. An internship can aid in the continuing development of client interactions and application of skills, as well as provide an insight to business ownership. Internship details are discussed during a scheduled interview following receipt of letter request. Letters should be submitted to the Director of Administration.
